Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin proposed to revoke Russian citizenship for so-called “fakes” about the war in Ukraine.
The head of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, changed the bill to the possibility of “for fakes about the war.” It provides the possibility of removing Russian passports, which are distributed among the occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported on Sunday, November 13, by the Russian edition of Meduza, which positions itself as the opposition, on its Telegram channel.
Thus, this rule will apply to those who received a passport not by birthright, but as a result of Russia’s “inclusion” in the occupied territories and other similar cases.
The President of Russia added to the list of “crimes” from which they will begin to remove citizenship:
-
Spreading fake news about the RF Armed Forces and defaming the Russian army.
-
Desecration of the Russian flag and coat of arms.
-
Participation in the activities of an undesirable organization.
-
call for separatism.
-
Interference in the life of a statesman and call for extremism.
The amendment states that the decision to revoke citizenship can be made regardless of when the crime is committed.
As you know, Vyacheslav Boguslaev, the president of the Zaporozhye Motor Sich plant, has been a Russian citizen since 2000.
