Nobody will sell anything with foreign capital in Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko promised.
The formal leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has criticized foreign investors in the country and proposed the nationalization of their businesses. This was announced by the Telegram channel Pool of the First on Friday, November 11.
“So I don’t see the Lithuanians, Finns and others here up close. We know how they” entered. “And how they abandoned everything and left,” said Lukashenka during a visit to Amkodor-Kez OJSC in the Tolochin district.
Lukashenka said that he did not want to name specific enterprises, but that he had already received reports about the behavior of investors: “Some have fled – the Finns. And the Lithuanians are running and searching, so as not to leave the business, but that you sell well.”
“They should know that nobody will sell anything with foreign capital! It’s nationalized. That’s it! We can do it ourselves,” Lukashenka threatened.
Earlier, state regulation of prices was introduced in Belarus. Manufacturers must now coordinate increases in selling prices with government agencies, and maximum markup limits are set for importers and trade.
