Zhao Lijian, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, denied this and said that the relationship between China and Russia is “solid as a rock”.
“The long-term and mutual development of relations is based on a high level of mutual trust and strong momentum,” the Chinese official said.
According to him, China is ready to cooperate with Russia to “promote the sustainable development of relations in the right direction.”
Note that China has declared its “neutral” position on Russia’s war against Ukraine. In addition, Beijing called the Russian invasion a “crisis in Ukraine.”
