President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as opposition to Russia’s aggression. This was announced on Saturday night, April 23, by the leaders of the two countries.
“The conversation continued with the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He spoke about the opposition to the aggression of the Russian Federation, about the situation in Mariupol. We appreciate Johnson’s and the UK’s leadership in supporting Ukraine! ” wrote Zelensky.
Later, the head of the British government announced that he “informed the President (Zelensky – ed.) “Johnson also confirmed that the UK is providing additional defensive military assistance, including protected mobile vehicles, drones and anti-tank weapons.”
Zelensky thanked Johnson for training Ukrainian troops in the UK.
