The Senate wants to support those who make the world a little more normal, at a time when everyone is cutting the family and loving all kinds of excess.
In the Czech Republic, they are proposing to introduce an award in the Senate to be given to couples who remain faithful. Czech Republic Senate member Itka Chalankova made a corresponding proposal, reports Seznam Zprávy.
Chalankova’s initiative should be considered at the first meeting of the Czech Senate’s subcommittee on family issues, which will meet in two weeks.
“The idea is to reward married couples for decades of living together. We want to show the beauty of marriage,” explained the senator.

Chalankova does not yet know how they will choose candidates for the award and how they will “test” the fidelity of the couple.
“I think that different organizations or municipalities will nominate couples who are good examples,” she suggested.
Chalankova’s colleague, Senator Daniela Kovarzhova, who is known for supporting the constitutional definition of marriage as the union of a man and a woman, proposes to create some kind of awards to reward fidelity.
“The idea is to reward couples who can be role models: gold, silver and bronze loyalty plaques for couples who have lived together for 70, 60 and 50 years. The subcommittee will honor the selected couples and publish their life stories. At that time, when everyone hits the family and loves all kinds of excesses, it is very important when an official state body stands up for those makes the world more normal,” he said.
Chalankova agrees and rejects the possibility of giving her awards to civil partners (ie homosexual couples). “Of course the idea is not like that,” he denied.
“We want to give a positive signal to society. At a time when the divorce rate is high and there are few couples getting married, this is necessary,” the senator said.
In the past, scientists discovered which people are prone to cheating and called the norm.
