Earlier, four such installations were delivered to Ukraine, said Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles.
Spain has decided to provide Ukraine with additional Hawk anti-aircraft installations for air defense needs. This was said by the Minister of Defense of Spain Margarita Robles at a meeting with the Ukrainian military, reports infodefensa.com.
“Two launchers will be sent exactly because NATO asked us to do it, to help Ukraine,” said Margarita Robles.
Previously, four such installations were delivered to Ukraine: the Spanish government announced in early November that it had sent Hawk and Aspide air defense systems to Ukraine.
“We are firmly committed to Ukraine, because we understand that it is exercising its legitimate right to defense, becoming the victim of an invasion and a brutal war,” said Margarita Robles.
In addition, it is reported that from next week 64 Ukrainian soldiers will be trained in Toledo, another 21 Ukrainian soldiers this week are learning to use 105 mm howitzers in Almeria in the southeast of the country.
It will be remembered that recently the President of Ukraine met with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
