Moscow settled with Iran for drones in cash, paying 140 million euros, and also provided samples of Western missiles obtained in Ukraine.
Not only did Russia pay Iran 140 million euros in cash for the kamikaze drones, but also provided some samples of Western weapons captured in the war. This was reported by the British television channel Sky News, citing an unnamed security source.
It was noted that Russia transferred to Iran the British NLAW anti-tank missile, the American Javelin anti-tank missile and the Stinger anti-aircraft missile.
Photos available on the channel show two Russian Il-76 aircraft on August 20, 2022 in Tehran. They allegedly delivered money and samples of Western weapons.
In response, Iran transferred 160 kamikaze drones – 100 Shahed-136 and 60 Shahed-131 – as well as six Mohajer-6 UAVs capable of dropping ammunition. In addition, Iran and Russia agreed to an additional supply of drones worth 200 million euros.
Earlier, GUR reported that parts of Iranian drones were produced after the Russian invasion. Ukraine provided serial numbers and data to component manufacturers in partner countries.
