The goal of the project is to create and improve articles on language topics in the Ukrainian-language section of the Internet encyclopedia.
Wikipedia will host a week of the Ukrainian language. Everyone can join the campaign, scheduled from November 9 to November 30, Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said on Telegram.
“The week of the Ukrainian language continues, within the framework of which the ICIP holds several events and an information campaign. With a public organization Wikimedia Ukraine we are holding Ukrainian Language Week on Wikipedia for the second time. The tradition we started last year has taken root,” said the head of the Ministry of Culture.
He clarified that the goal of the project is to create and improve as many articles on this topic as possible in the Ukrainian section of Wikipedia.
“The campaign will start on November 9 and last until November 30. Everyone can join. To do this, you need to register on Wikipedia and create or improve at least one article on Ukrainian language and literature,” Tkachenko stressed.
It will be remembered that earlier the language ombudsman Taras Kremen gave recommendations on how Russian speakers should switch to the Ukrainian language.
