The current state program, which allows Ukrainians to spend the night and eat in hotels for free, will end on May 31.
Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria will be forced to leave hotels in the country’s resort areas or live there for just one fee. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kalina Konstantinova.
According to him, the current state program, which allows Ukrainians to spend the night and eat in hotels for free, will end on May 31.
Refugees will be sent to state sanatoriums or hostels. Many have to find accommodation on their own in private.
It was noted that 15 million leva were transferred to Bulgarian hoteliers as compensation for the accommodation of Ukrainians. This is the first tranche to business owners, even though Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Asen Vasilev announced such a payment in March.
Currently, more than 87,000 refugees from Ukraine live in Bulgaria.
It was previously reported that Switzerland will change the rules for receiving refugees from Ukraine.
Recall that the United States has simplified admission for Ukrainian refugees.
