Russia is actively using Iranian kamikaze drones to attack Ukrainian cities. In particular, for critical infrastructure facilities.
The United States of America and other states may impose additional sanctions against Iran due to the country’s arms supplies to the Russian Federation. On Saturday, November 5, in an interview with ICTV, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried said.
He emphasized that the US and its partners and allies will continue to condemn such actions by Iran.
“And the US and allies will also think about sanctions, in addition to those already applied against Iran, for the supply of these drones to Russia. We will do everything we can to prevent the supply of weapons from in Iran in Russia,” Donfried stressed.
According to a State Department spokesman, the United States will do everything in its power to ensure that Iranian missiles “never hit the battlefield in Ukraine.”
It should be noted that Iran has acknowledged the supply of drones to the Russian Federation. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said his country supplied kamikaze drones to Russia months before a full-scale war against Ukraine began.
In this regard, Zelensky called a lie in Iran’s statement that a “small number” of Iranian drones were delivered to Russia a few months before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
