Ukrainian law enforcement officials detained a forester in Volchansk, Kharkiv region, who went over to the side of the invaders. This was announced on Saturday, November 5, on the page of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
“An employee of the state company Volchanskoye forestry in July agreed to cooperate with the labor administration,” the report said.
It was determined that during the occupation of the city, the forester helped the Russians to strengthen Volchansk in case of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigators, the invaders offered him the position of “chief engineer” of the fake “Volchansky forestry”, to which the collaborator agreed. He also forced his colleagues to work for the Russians and promised them wages in Russian rubles.
“The collaborator is also “moderate” in continuing the work of the forest for the harvesting of timber, which arranged its supply to the Russian troops for the construction of dugouts and fortifications against the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” added prosecutor’s office.
