Both external lines, which are necessary for supplying electricity from the Ukrainian energy system, have been repaired.
The Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant has been reconnected to the power grid after electricity was suspended following a shelling by the Russian army, reports the press service of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to the agency, both external lines of 750 kV and 330 kV have been repaired, which are necessary for supplying electricity from the Ukrainian energy system.
“At about 22:00 (November 4 – Ed.), 750 kV power supply to all six ZNPP units was restored, and eight operating emergency diesel generators were turned off and switched to standby mode,” said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi .
Recall, on November 3, Energoatom reported that the damage to the last two high-voltage communication lines of the temporarily occupied Zaporozhye NPP and the de-energization of the plant was an attempt to reconnect it to the Russian energy system.
Later, a new team of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived at ZNPP.
