Empty wagons must follow Lithuania on the journey to Belarus. The border guards did not allow it.
Lithuanian border guards at the checkpoint in Kybartai did not allow a train with Russian military symbols on the cars to enter the country. The State Border Guard Service of Lithuania (SOGGL) reported this on Saturday, November 5.
“There were three wagons on one train, two on the other. The empty wagons were supposed to pass through Lithuania in transit to Belarus. The border guards did not allow this, and Lithuanian Railways was also informed about the wagons ,” the message said.
It was noted that the five wagons were supposed to be uncoupled and returned to the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. Only then the trains can continue on the territory of Lithuania.
Judging by the published photos, the symbols of the Russian Airborne Forces are applied to the cars.
