The Russian army uses Genichesk, located in the Kherson region near the temporarily occupied Crimea, as a base for military exercises. This was stated by the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhiy Khlan in a commentary on the Radio Liberty project “News of the Sea of Azov”.
There are a lot of Russian troops in Genichesk now. They began to pull their military there and they were the first to use Genichesk as a training base for these mobilized people who are coming from Russia,” Khlan pointed out.
He said that the mobilized were also sent to build fortifications along the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.
Mobilized Russians go to Genichesk, they stop there, they are now settled on the Arabat Spit, where the recreation centers are. But more there closer to Strelkovy. There they conduct such quick training courses and they are sent towards the front, towards the left bank of the Dnieper and the right bank, – Khlan added.
Recall that the mobilization in Russia was announced on September 21. Russian President Vladimir Putin, a war criminal, called it a “share”, emphasizing that they would call on people who served in the army and have combat experience.
