Ukraine’s victory in a full-scale war with the Russian Federation will not guarantee that the Kremlin will not take it into its head to attack our country again, believes the Permanent Representative to the UN.
The defeat of the Russian army and the expulsion of the invaders from the Ukrainian territory will not allow the war to end completely, but it can end if the regime in the Russian Federation changes. This opinion on Tuesday, November 1, expressed Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Serhiy Kislitsa.
In his opinion, the success of the Ukrainian military on its territory does not mean the end of the war: “if the regime in the Russian Federation is not deputized, we will continue to live in tension under the threat of repeated military intervention .”
He noted that the security guarantee for Ukraine in the future is several steps that Ukraine must take in the coming years: Ukraine’s accession to NATO, full integration with the European Union, further development of “very strong ” Armed Forces, economic strengthening.
It will be recalled that President Volodymyr Zelensky and Czech Prime Minister Peter Fiala signed a joint declaration on Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic vision.
Earlier, the European Commission said preparations for Ukraine’s accession to the EU “are in full swing.”
Shmyhal named Ukraine’s priorities in European integration
