Russia has deployed fighter jets and a container to Belarus that may contain Kinzhal missiles, according to intelligence.
Two Russian MiG-31 aircraft and a container likely used to store Kinzhal hypersonic missiles were spotted at Machulishchi airport near the Belarusian capital Minsk. It is stated in report UK intelligence published on Tuesday 1 November.
The report also published a photo of a Russian fighter jet taken on 17 October. It shows two MiG-31 aircraft and a large container, probably with Kinzhal missiles, fortified by an earthen rampart.
The Russian Federation has been using these missiles since 2018, but they have not been deployed in Belarus.
Russia used Kinzhal missiles in the war against Ukraine, but the stock of these missiles may be limited.
Scouts believe that due to the range of 2000 km, the deployment of Daggers in Belarus gives the Russian Federation a slight advantage in the war against Ukraine.
Intelligence suggests Moscow deployed these missiles to signal the West and portray Belarus as an accomplice in the war.
