Tens of thousands of grains for Ethiopia have been chartered by the United Nations World Food Programme.
Ukraine suspended the export of agricultural products by sea, including to Ethiopia, due to Russia’s withdrawal from the grain agreement. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov in Twitter on Sunday, 30 October.
According to him, the ship IkariaAngel should leave the port of Odessa region today. It is supposed to deliver 40 thousand tons of grain to Ethiopia, which is on the brink of starvation.
“Due to Russia’s blocking of the “grain corridor”, export is impossible,” Kubrakov wrote.
He emphasized that the grain for Ethiopia is chartered by the UN World Food Programme.
Remember, on October 29, Russia announced that it would stop participating in the implementation of the grain agreement, allegedly because of the “terrorist attack” in Sevastopol Bay, where Russian ships were attacked.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, said that the Russian Federation had found an enormous reason to block the grain corridor, and called on the states of the world to demand that the invaders stop the “hunger games” and return to their obligations.
And now it is known that as of October 30, there was no agreement on the movement of ships along the maritime humanitarian corridor as part of a grain deal.
