Scholz explained to the media why Germany did not supply heavy weapons to Ukraine

Scholz noted that there is no set of rules stating when Germany can be considered a party to a war.

NATO must avoid a direct military confrontation with Russia that could lead to a third world war. This statement was made by Germany’s Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, answering Spiegel’s question as to why Germany did not supply heavy weapons to Ukraine.

“Preventing escalation towards NATO is my top priority,” Scholz said.

He also noted that he did not allow himself to respond to criticisms.

According to Scholz, there is no set rule stating when Germany can be considered a party to a war.

The German chancellor promised Ukraine more weapons – “what else is available.”

Recall that Chancellor Scholz was criticized for lack of support for Ukraine.

It was also reported that Scholz was facing resignation due to Ukraine.
