“Britain is stopping all imports of Russian liquefied natural gas and is supporting countries around the world to reduce their self-reliance. We are depriving Putin of funds for his illegal war,” the statement said .
The ministry also recalled that the export of nearly 700 goods critical to the Russian economy had previously been banned.
“In total, more than £19 billion of trade between Great Britain and Russia has been fully or partially sanctioned. We continue to bring down Putin’s military machine,” the Foreign Ministry added.
