Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mikhail Bilinsky defeated a “flock” of Iranian Shahed-136s. This was stated in a video published by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
One of the Ukrainian defenders said that the unit heard the sound of approaching “shaheeds”.
“Our operator found the target. They opened fire and we saw that the target was destroyed,” said a serviceman with the call sign Fireman.
At night, it is more difficult to detect enemy aircraft in the sky. This is done at the air defense command post: they identify targets and differentiate them – planes, helicopters, UAVs.
It should be noted that military counterintelligence specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine found a carefully disguised electronic warfare system Silok-01 in one of the destroyed houses in the Donetsk region and destroyed it. This was reported by the press center of the SBU, which also posted the corresponding video.
Video footage shows how the complex was destroyed by two bombs from a UAV that hovered directly over its antenna.
The Russian defense concern Sozvezdie, which developed Silok-01, claims that the complex is automatically capable of detecting unmanned aerial vehicles at a great distance, determining their coordinates, and stopping also their control, telemetry and communication channels.
As you know, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that over the past two days, Russia launched 30 Shahed-136 Iranian drones over Ukraine, most of which were shot down.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the Ukrainian defenders have “reached” more than 300 Shahed-136 Iranian kamikaze drones. At the same time, Russia has recently reduced the intensity of attacks.
