Prosecutors proved that the military man in the summer of 2016 did not appear on time for service from a medical institution – in the military unit at the place of deployment in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region.
While on vacation, the accused informed the command of the military unit about his stay for treatment. According to the medical facility, he was treated from mid-June to early July 2016.
In the conditions of a special period, the military wants to avoid military service forever. “He spent his free time at his own discretion, not connecting it to the performance of military service duties.”
The man was accused of desertion under the conditions of a special period, except for martial law (part 3 of article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier, the frigate commander of the Russian Federation, Admiral Makarov, was notified of the betrayal. The ship, under the command of a deserter, launched cruise missiles at Nikolaev and Odessa.
