The President of Poland is sure that nuclear blackmail and calls from the Kremlin to the governments of other countries are elements of intimidation.

Russia is trying to freeze the war to stop the Ukrainian counter-offensive. In particular, it threatens nuclear weapons and “dirty bombs”. This is what the President of Poland Andrzej Duda said at a press conference in Montenegro.

He assessed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s calls to Washington, London, Paris and Berlin as an attempt by the Russian Federation to stop the war at any cost.

“As a result, according to Moscow’s plan, this should lead to the end of military aid to Ukraine from the West, NATO countries, because, in general, this war will disappear, and Ukraine will gradually regain control on its borders recognized by international law,” the Polish leader said.

According to him, Russia is threatening a nuclear accident at nuclear power plants, the threat of a nuclear attack or the use of a “dirty bomb” because it was forced to retreat.

Duda called such threats an element of Russian tactics and attempts to intimidate the West and “freeze a war that Russia cannot face.”

“The aid to Ukraine must continue, and the dialogue with Russia cannot be carried out until it begins to comply with the norms of international law, that is, until it leaves the territory of Ukraine. Russia is an aggressor , and until it leaves Ukraine, it continues. to be an aggressor. Western countries should not be subject to any Russian blackmail,” insisted the Polish President.

As previously reported, Zelensky and Duda had a telephone conversation on September 29, during which they also discussed Russia’s actions in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

In addition, the leaders of the two countries had another phone conversation on October 10.
