The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, initiated the expansion of opportunities for documenting citizens abroad.
First Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Yenin said that the network of foreign offices of the State Migration Service hopes to expand to the Czech Republic, Germany and Turkey.
“Expanding the network is an urgent need, because only in the first days of the large-scale Russian invasion, about 7 million Ukrainian citizens went abroad,” he said.
According to Enin, then, thanks to the support of Ukraine’s partners, many crossed the border with photocopies or photocopies of documents, but then they faced the inability to receive social guarantees, use other services -educational or medical of EU member states. Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, initiated the expansion of opportunities for documenting citizens outside the state.
“The government supported the initiative – and for more than three months the foreign representative offices of the Document State Enterprise have been operating in Warsaw. And now we are observing the work of eight mobile points in Krakow at the same time,” said of officer.
As Enin mentioned, such a number of mobile passport centers can serve up to 300-350 people per day. The queue is formed both online and live. Work also continues on expanding the list of services provided by foreign representatives of the GP Document office, improving logistics, simplifying procedures and their duration.
According to him, negotiations are underway to expand the network of foreign divisions of the Ukrainian migration department not only in Poland, but also in several other countries. We are talking about both mobile and stationary centers.
Since the head of the State Customs Service Natalia Naumenko was in the Czech Republic, we agreed on this with the Czech authorities. We are also waiting for Germany, Turkey. The point is small – they should increase the number of specialized beads that can work in a remote way. And then we plan to rent offices, like today in Warsaw, where 28 workstations work simultaneously, – said Enin.
Recall that Poland has expressed its readiness to accept a new wave of Ukrainian refugees.
It was also reported that the Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, said that Ukrainian refugees who are now abroad should not return home until spring, as the winter could be difficult due to -Russian terrorist attack.
