In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained two men for a robbery of the mother of a military man held captive by the Russian occupiers. This was announced by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Wednesday, September 26.
So, the day before 13:50, the duty unit of the Darnytsia National Police Department received a message from a woman that in the hostel where she works as an administrator, an unknown man grabbed her by the throat and began to strangle her until he lost consciousness. After recovery, the victim discovered the lack of funds in the amount of about 380 thousand hryvnias, which he kept with him.
It was established that the victim’s son, who works as a border guard, has been in captivity since February 24, in connection with which the woman received social payments from the state. He plans to deposit this money in a bank account.
As a result of the immediate investigation, law enforcement officials identified and detained two men who lived in the same hostel. During the examination, the victim’s money was found and recovered from the bathroom.
Detainees were informed of the suspicion of a robbery committed under martial law (part 4 of article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
