The letter to the US president was published without prior verification, explained Pramila Jayapal.
A group of 30 representatives of the left wing of the US Democratic Party withdrew a letter to President Joe Biden, in which they called for a review of the policy towards Ukraine and the start of direct negotiations with Russia. This was stated in the statement of the leader of the Progressive faction of the Congress, Pramila Jayapal, issued on Tuesday, October 25.

“The letter was written months ago, but, unfortunately, the staff published it without prior verification. As the faction chairman, it is my responsibility,” Jayapal said.
He added that the letter was published at a time when House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Ukraine’s support could be cut if his party wins the midterm elections.
“The temporal proximity of these statements created the uncomfortable impression that the Democrats, who strongly and unanimously supported and voted for every package of military, strategic and economic aid to the Ukrainian people, joined the Republicans seeking to end American support for President Zelensky and Ukrainian forces.” Jayapal emphasized.
According to him, any war ends with diplomacy, and this one will end after the victory of Ukraine.
Earlier, Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced a new aid package from the United States. This was learned after his conversation with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.
