These projectiles not only burn all living things around, but are highly toxic to the environment.
Russia uses phosphorus shells in Bolshaya Novoselka, Donetsk region, which is prohibited by international documents. This was reported by the press service of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) on Telegram.
“These shells are dangerous because, in addition to burning all living things, they are very toxic to the environment,” said the guards.
They also published a video of the fighters of the Dnieper brigade of the National Guard – they fell under one of these attacks.
Unfortunately, the invaders often use prohibited phosphorus shells in Ukraine. So at the end of September, Russian troops used phosphorus shells during the shelling of one of the villages in the Zaporozhye region.
