The crash of the Russian plane was connected to the low level of repair – during the flight, the cabin was depressurized.
A Russian plane that crashed into a residential building in Irkutsk crashed due to poor quality repairs carried out. This was announced on October 24 by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
As a result of flight tests of two Su-30SM aircraft in Irkutsk, one of them crashed and fell into a residential building. The crew died. It is known that both aircraft were tested after the repair. One of them, after fulfilling the flight plan, landed at the airport, the second remained in the air, and the crew did not communicate for 20 minutes.
The first plane took off again and approached the emergency ship. The pilots witnessed that the crew of the crashed aircraft died, probably due to a faulty oxygen system. After running out of fuel, the non-operating aircraft crashed into a residential building in the Novolenino area.
“The crash of the Russian aircraft was associated with a low level of repair. As a result, the cabin was depressurized during the flight. The crew could not get out, which led to the death of both pilots. The one of the dead was named Viktor Kryukov,” the report said.
Earlier in Russia, they said that the cause of the death of the crew of the Su-30, which fell into a residential building in Irkutsk, could be the residual nitrogen in the oxygen cylinders.
