After the de-occupation of the peninsula, this transport artery will cease to exist, because no one needs it.
The Crimean bridge will cease to exist upon the return of Crimea, because no one needs this transport artery. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, said this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
“When Crimea returns, this bridge will cease to exist. No one really needs this transport artery. The Crimean bridge has experienced a very heavy destruction. This regime has been left behind for a long time,” said Budanov.
Answering the question about the accusation of the GUR of the explosion on the bridge, in particular, that Budanov was personally involved in it, the chief intelligence officer replied that he did not take it seriously.
“I don’t remember the name exactly, but one of the largest printed publications of the Chinese Communist Party published an article that Russia blames Ukraine for this with a very high degree of skepticism of these accusations. But you have to understand what is printed in the publication of the Chinese Communist Party agreed with everyone, that is, this is the official position. one thing and then, apparently, to loosen its hands,” he stressed.
It will be recalled that on the morning of October 8, an explosion and fire were recorded on the Kerch bridge connecting Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea. A freight train caught fire on the rail portion of the bridge, and part of the roadbed collapsed on the vehicle portion.
