The ruling regime in Russia has tried to slow down or stop Western aid to Ukraine using its disinformation.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has tried to slow or stop Western military aid to Ukraine and undermine NATO with the “dirty bomb” statement. This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Analysts recall that the Russian official held telephone conversations on October 23 with the heads of the defense ministries of France, Turkey, Great Britain and the United States.

The Russian leader assured his interlocutors that Ukraine was allegedly preparing a false flag attack with a “dirty bomb” – a conventional explosive impregnated with radioactive material that is not a nuclear weapon. According to him, in the future, Kyiv plans “to accuse the Russian Federation of using weapons of mass destruction.”

Kremlin propagandists picked up and spread Sergei Shoigu’s disinformation.

As we have already reported, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called on the UN and the IAEA to send a monitoring mission to Ukraine against the backdrop of the statements of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation about a “dirty bomb”. He also added that Kyiv demands that the fourth paragraph of the Budapest Memorandum be applied.
