A march called “For joining the EU” went to Parliament Square.
Marchers from all over the UK traveled for hours to take part in it.
Lots of blue and yellow were seen in Parliament Square, with marching supporters waving EU flags and carrying signs such as “Brexit will never work”, “For lower bills #rejoin the EU” and “We voted romaine”.
The crowd booed images of figures shown on the big digital screen who voted to leave the EU, such as Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and Nigel Farage.
Remember that on January 1, 2021, the UK finally left the European Union, completing its exit from the single market and the EU customs union. Between London and Brussels, the 11-month transition period has ended, when the same rules, regulations and benefits will apply to the kingdom after Brexit as to any other EU member.
