Temporary restrictions on electricity supply were introduced in Kyiv and Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr regions.
Ukrenergo on Friday, October 21, will introduce a temporary controlled limit of electricity consumption in the central regions.
“The dispatch center of Ukrenergo was forced to introduce a temporary controlled limit of electricity consumption in Kyiv and Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr regions. This will help reduce the load on the power grid and give power engineers time to repair the equipment damaged by the terrorist attack,” the message said.
The company reminded that they will decide on a temporary shutdown if they see an increase in consumption in some regions, and in the near future it will be impossible to deliver more electricity there due to the destruction of the energy infrastructure caused by Russia.
“Accordingly, your economical consumption of electricity can help avoid forced shutdowns – remember this,” the company said.
Earlier today, the restriction of electricity supply was reported in Kyiv region.
