The situation on the frontline remains terrible, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces remain – Zelensky
The situation on the front line remains dire, but the Ukrainian military is standing firm. This was announced on Thursday, October 20, by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in an evening video message.
“The situation on the front line remains difficult. Especially in Donbass – the same direction as Bakhmut – and in some areas in the south. But we are holding positions. We are defending our land. We are gradually moving, expelling the enemy. And we will certainly ensure victory for Ukraine,” he stressed.
He noted that in the past day in Ukraine there were both downed missiles and downed Iranian drones.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t defeated everything yet. There are mistakes, there are mistakes. But we will do everything to give full protection to our sky. Terrorists always lose. Freedom always wins,” added Zelensky.
He also said he signed another order rewarding Ukrainian soldiers.
Thus, orders and medals were awarded to 148 defenders and defenders of Ukraine.
“I especially want to note today, in the presentation of our military command, the soldiers from the 7th anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery battery of the 3rd anti-aircraft missile battalion of the 1039th anti-aircraft missile regiment. In the next Russian missile strike , the battery carried out protection in the north of our country and destroyed an enemy missile in the Vyshgorodsky district of the Kyiv region. Thank you guys for the excellent service and continued good results! Every fallen Russian missile is saved that is the life of our people,” stressed the head of state.
Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian terrorists mined the dam and units of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. If the dam breaks, hundreds of thousands of residents of southern Ukraine will be flooded, and Crimea and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will remain without water.
