Most of the representatives supported the creation of a special tribunal to consider the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The Parliament of the Netherlands supported on Thursday, October 20, the proposal to create a special tribunal for Russia in The Hague. This was reported by Ukrinform.
“The majority of the Dutch parliament is in favor of creating a special tribunal to consider the case of Russian aggression against Ukraine. We can and must hold Putin accountable,” mentioned Deputy Serd Wimer Serdsma from the D66 party.
D66 considers it a logical step for The Hague to become a city where Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and Russia’s military and political leadership can be tried.
According to the deputy, a separate tribunal is needed to prosecute Putin.
It will be recalled that the Office of the President called on the world to help create a tribunal for the leadership of the Kremlin.
It was also reported that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania called on the EU, together with international partners, to help Ukraine create a special tribunal to investigate the crimes of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
