“It is difficult for me to imagine that the Chinese ambassador, who is in Ukraine, does not inform his government about the attacks on the Ukrainian capital. Our embassy in Beijing also regularly sends information to the Chinese foreign ministry about on Russia’s crimes in Ukraine,” the diplomat wrote.
He noted that “it’s not right to pretend that nothing is happening when the whole world is talking about it.”
“We expect a more proactive role for China as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. There can be no compromise or political nuances when it comes to condemning barbaric crimes against civilians,” added Nikolenko.
As reported, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbin, said that China did not know about the Russian attack with the help of kamikaze drones in Kyiv.
It will be remembered that on the morning of Monday, October 17, Russian troops attacked the capital of Ukraine with 28 kamikaze drones, of which five were able to fly and explode in the city. They destroyed energy facilities and a residential building in the Shevchenko district. The strikes killed five people.
