On Tuesday, October 18, the government approved the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala on the mutual abolition of visa requirements. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The provisions of the Agreement provide for the possibility of visa-free entry and stay of citizens of Ukraine and citizens of Guatemala in the state of the other party for up to 90 days within 180 days.
“The entry into force of the Agreement and its implementation will allow the establishment on a mutual and permanent basis of a visa-free travel regime for citizens of Ukraine and citizens of the Republic of Guatemala, who will will contribute to the increase of trade and the development of interpersonal contact, as well as tourism, once the security situation is resolved,” the statement said. in the message.
The date of commencement of the application of the Agreement will also be announced after the implementation of the local procedures of the Guatemalan side.
It is noted that currently, visa requirements are not applied to citizens of Ukraine who wish to make a short trip to Guatemala for tourist, business or private purposes in accordance with the unilateral decision of the Republic of Guatemala.
Citizens of Guatemala who enter Ukraine are issued visas at foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine and visas in electronic form (e-visa).
Recall that the President of Guatemala expressed support for the Ukrainian people.
It was also reported that the government of Ukraine approved an agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements with Indonesia.
