Counter-battery fire from Ukrainian high-precision artillery destroyed a Russian 152-mm self-propelled gun 2S19 Msta-S.
The video of the defeat of enemy equipment was published by the osint resource Ukraine Weapons Tracker.
As can be seen from the video, the target of the Ukrainian military was hit with the first shot. Judging by this nature of the damage, it can be assumed that the M982 Excalibur high-precision artillery munition was used to neutralize the Msta-S. They can hit the enemy with one howitzer and the first shot, which is what we see in this video.

The Russians deployed their self-propelled guns near the road, but tried to hide the equipment between the landing trees at the edge of the clearing. Aerial reconnaissance helped to detect and destroy Russian artillery.
This is not the first video of successful counter-battery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of hostile artillery. “Rakurs” wrote about the destruction of the Russian self-propelled guns “Msta-S” in the Kherson region with precision-guided Excalibur ammunition.
Counter-battery combat – conducted from closed firing positions by an entire artillery unit (battery or division) against a group of enemy installations located close to each other. More often, the target to be hit is in the composition of the battery, and that is why the counter-battery fire got its name.
