As a result of the morning shelling of Kyiv, a 120-year-old house, which is part of the city’s historical buildings, was damaged.
Activists of the Renovation Map reported that a part of the house collapsed due to a drone attack.
The body of the first person who died under the ruins of a residential building was found, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, said. The Kyiv authorities specified that this was a woman whose body was removed from the rubble.
The remnants of a shot through Iranian drone also appeared on the network – according to the air force, all attacks on Kyiv were carried out from the south.
At noon on October 17, in the center of the capital, traffic was blocked on sections of several streets. Mayor Vitali Klitschko appealed to the residents of Kyiv not to travel to the city center without urgent need, and also not to ignore the air raid signals.
Rescuers are clearing the rubble of a residential building in the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv, which was hit by Russian war criminals with kamikaze drones. At least two people remain under the rubble. Earlier, Klitschko announced 18 rescued from the rubble.
Meanwhile, the head of the Kyiv region, Oleksiy Kuleba, said that the region was attacked by two waves of kamikaze drones, so far there has been no damage.
From six in the morning there was an air raid in the Kyiv region, but the air defense was working – we have no arrivals and no destruction in the region. The situation is calm and stable,” Kuleba said.
No other means, except for “Shaheds”, were used in the Kyiv region.
