A Russian Su-34 bomber crashed in the courtyard of a residential building in Yeysk. This was announced on his Telegram channel by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev.
“According to preliminary information from the operational services, an SU-34 military aircraft crashed. As a result, a fire broke out in a nine-story building. The fire consumed several floors at once. 17 apartment was previously damaged. We are identifying the victims. Ambulance teams are working in the area,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that two people died and 15 were injured in the plane crash in Yeysk. The Russian Defense Ministry said the pilots ejected, Interfax reports. The cause of the crash was the ignition of one of the engines during flight.
At the crash site of the Su-34 in the courtyard of one of the residential areas, the fuel of the aircraft caught fire.
