The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, Vadim Sinyavsky, in an interview with the ONT TV channel said that some of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have allocated weapons to “defend the fatherland” in the event of hostilities, and the country is also training to evacuate the population and talk about shelter.
Sinyavsky spoke about the issuance of weapons to rescuers. Earlier, it was announced about the possible arming of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to suppress protests and help the army.
We have fulfilled the order (Alexander Lukashenko. – “Rakurs”). Today, all the weapons that were planned have been received from the Ministry of Defense and placed in our weapons storage rooms. In separate units that are deployed in different regions of our country, where they are insignificant, we have placed weapons in the weapons storage rooms of the internal affairs bodies,” the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The minister also stated that “calculations and training of personnel have been carried out.”
Now there is a planned training, which we conduct. In terms of the use of personnel for these purposes, appropriate calculations were made both in the regions and in the country as a whole. If it is necessary to actively participate in certain issues related to the defense of one’s Fatherland, these calculations are brought to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to the heads of the Internal Affairs Directorate at the regional level, as well as to the Armed Forces – if necessary, calculations will also be formed to participate in response actions , – Sinyavsky clarified.
In addition, the head of the rescuers of Belarus said that more than five thousand closed structures in the country could be used to shelter missile strikes. As the minister said, if a prompt response to an emergency is required, Belarus already has a ready-made action plan.
On October 16, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country announced the arrest of several people who allegedly prepared “acts of terrorism and sabotage” on the instructions of the “ambulance opposition” and ByPol.
It is alleged that the detainees allegedly received from the “Victory Plan” chatbot “tasks for planting bombs” and “instructions on where to get incendiary mixtures.” The detainees testify, the Interior Ministry said.
Deputy Minister Gennady Kazakevich also stated that the “Plan Pobeda” project provides for the violent overthrow of state power in Belarus and that within its framework “members of illegal military formations are trained on the territory of Poland and gain combat experience on the territory of Ukraine.”
On October 14, the Zerkalo publication wrote about the appearance of fake, according to opposition representatives, reports about the launch of the “Victory Plan”. Alexander Azarov, a member of the Joint Transitional Cabinet of Belarus headed by Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and a representative of ByPol, then said that the authorities launched this fake in order to identify and detain possible participants in the project.
