After the new shelling of Ukraine by the Russian occupation forces on October 17, there may be emergency power outages in the country.
This was announced in a telegram by the country’s main energy company Ukrenergo.
As a result of a terrorist attack, energy infrastructure facilities in the central and northern regions of Ukraine were damaged.
The repair teams of the company are working to eliminate the consequences.
Ukrenergo stressed that the situation is under control, but did not rule out that emergency shutdown schedules could be introduced. The company urged citizens of the country to use electricity very economically, especially in the evening.
Iranian drones damaged one of DTEK’s power plants on Monday. According to preliminary information, three people were injured. They were promptly treated and taken to the hospital.
Earlier, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Denis Shmihal, said that the new strikes of the rashists on energy facilities led to a blackout in hundreds of settlements in Ukraine. The prime minister urged Ukrainians to “commonly and consciously approach the economical consumption of electricity” in order to stabilize the energy system. This is especially true for hours of peak load on the power system.
