The “Second Army of the World,” as Russian propagandists of the Russian armed forces like to call it, is extremely poorly equipped.
The enemy is trying to compensate for significant losses at the expense of new parties of mobilized Russian citizens who have undergone accelerated training. However, the command throws “mobikov” to the front with poor equipment and defective weapons. This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for October 12.
It is noted that up to 500 mobilized servicemen from the 205th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 49th combined arms army left for the combat zone to make up for enemy losses in the temporarily occupied territories. These fighters are equipped with helmets and Soviet-style protective equipment, and are armed with AK-12 assault rifles with a very negative experience of use.
The General Staff noted that the AK-12 was created by the Kalashnikov concern and presented to the general public in January 2012. It was a fundamentally new one, but implemented using the general scheme and technical solutions of former automata. However, the experience of the combat use of these weapons in the battles in Ukraine turned out to be so negative that after a few weeks of actual operation, it was proposed to actually demodernize this type of machine gun.
Recall that a video began to be massively distributed on social networks, which allegedly depicts 500 mobilized in the Belgorod region of Russia. Mobiki complain that they were given weapons, but not assigned to the unit, and that they live for a week “in cattle-breeding conditions”, buying their own food.
