As part of its 50 years of work in the country, SOS Children’s Villages Peru is presenting the 2022 8km Run for a Happy Childhood, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of supporting vulnerable children and adolescents. In this context, and in order to continue to provide food, clothing and education to more than 20,000 children and adolescents.
In 2022, the 8K race will take place on Sunday 16 October and will start at the Pentagonito de San Borja Olympic Park starting at 07:00.
How to take part?
Those wishing to participate can register from Wednesday, September 7th to Thursday, October 13th via the Teleticket platform and at the offices SOS Children’s Villages Peru (Ricardo Angulo 744, San Isidro) from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm with all payment methods. The number 948 992 623 has also been included for more information and corporate sales.
It should be noted that the solidarity donation is 40 soles, which entitles you to a kit that includes the official polo shirt of the race, a bottle of water, a bag and a medal after the race. The kits will be delivered in person on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th at the San Borja Sports Center (the kits will not be delivered on the day of the event).

In this sixth edition, the municipality of San Borja and Penta Run are part of the team of co-organizers of the race.
Running race 8K
On Wednesday, September 7th, the official launch of the race took place with the special presence of a representative of the Municipality of Sant Borja, as well as Nancy Martinez, National Director SOS Children’s Villages Peru, Luis Univaso, Isopetrol Planning and Marketing Manager, Willy Chavez, Penta Run Representative; and SOS Ambassadors Oscar Ibáñez and Jorge “El Chupo” Arriola, who accompanied the event as managers and promoters of Peruvian sports.
