The German government believes that in the winter we should expect a new wave of Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war.
In winter, the flow of refugees from Ukraine to Europe will increase. This was said by the German government commissioner for migration Rim Alabali-Radovan, according to the German news portal RND.
A new wave of Ukrainian refugees in the European Union is expected due to the military’s harsh winter, media reports.
The official believes that the increase in the flow of Ukrainian refugees will mainly affect Poland and the Czech Republic.
“Therefore, we must remain in close contact with neighboring countries and be ready to continue receiving people fleeing war,” Alabali-Radovan concluded.
Remember, The Telegraph reported that hundreds of families from Ukraine, who came to the UK as refugees, have been left homeless.
We add that the European Commission is extending the temporary protection mechanism for Ukrainian refugees for another year – until March 2024.
