“Guterres and the team are working on the expanded Black Sea Grain Initiative,” Dujarric said.
It was noted that the head of the UN General Assembly, Chaba Quereshi, in a meeting on October 10, highly appreciated the work of the grain agreement.
“We will work together to fully implement essential food supplies from Ukrainian ports,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, during the agreement, which will end at the end of November, more than 309 ships left the ports of Odessa from more than 6.9 million tons of agricultural products. The share of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and other non-EU countries is 52%. The share of wheat in total exports in these regions reached 66%.
Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said the grain deal would be extended.
