Journalists have calculated that the total cost of missiles and UAVs fired by Russia at Ukraine on Monday ranges from $400 million to $700 million.
During the mass rocket attack on Ukraine on Monday, October 10, Russia fired 84 cruise missiles and 24 UAVs. The average value of all the weapons is between $400 million and $700 million, according to Forbes.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military shot down more than half of the missiles – 43 pieces and 13 UAVs.
“Forbes estimates the cost of fired missiles in a wide range, as the exact number of missiles of each type is not yet known,” the publication added.
As reported, Russia used the following types of missiles:
-
X-101;
-
X-555;
-
Caliber;
-
Alexander;
-
S-300;
-
Tornado-S.
The cost calculation is made under the assumption that most of the missiles that reach the target are expensive and high-precision X-101 and missiles with a tactical range, for example S-300, Tornado-S. Other missiles were used to reload the air defense.
Forbes estimates that Russia spent between $400 million and $700 million because:
-
X-101 – $13 million (one projectile);
-
Caliber – 6.5 million dollars;
-
Iskander – $3 million;
-
Onyx – $1.25 million;
-
X-22 – $1 million;
-
Tochka-U – 0.3 million dollars.
The total cost of all released drones is several million dollars.
Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that as a result of the Russian missile attack on Ukraine, 11 people died and 89 were injured.
It was also reported that during the mass strike in Ukraine on Monday, October 10, Russia used 84 cruise missiles.
