In occupied Liman, Donetsk region, work continues at the site of recently discovered graves. It was found that about 20 Ukrainian defenders were buried in a mass grave. This was announced on Sunday, October 9, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Law enforcement officials received information about the mass grave in Liman from local residents. Civilians were buried in single graves, the military in a trench 40 meters long. According to a witness , he buried about 20 Ukrainian defenders here on Russian orders. invaders. children,” the statement said.

It is noted that in some tombs there are tablets with the data of the dead, others are nameless.

“In each case, the police take biological samples and appoint an analysis to identify the dead and establish the causes of death. The task is complicated by the fact that most of the bodies are in a state of change , there is a package in which there are only seeds,” the ministry said.

According to the latest data, 20 civilian and military bodies were exhumed at the site of these burials.

In general, since the beginning of September, MVS calculated, the police found 87 corpses in the liberated settlements of Donbass, of which 38 civilians have already been identified.

According to preliminary estimates, most people died as a result of shrapnel wounds or due to natural causes. There were also those who died due to bullet wounds.

Recall that earlier in the liberated Kupyansk-Uzlov, Kharkiv region, a grave with shot civilians was discovered. Four people are known to have died, including a family of three and their neighbor.
