Ukrainian specialists repaired and installed a high-voltage communication line of 750 kV Zaporizhzhya NPP – Dneprovskaya. On Sunday, October 9, the press service of Energoatom reported.
“After nearly two days of operation of emergency pumps for cooling the cores of nuclear power plant reactors powered by diesel generators, operational personnel are restoring normal procedures for supplying the plant’s own needs from Ukrainian energy system,” the message said.
It was noted that the radiation background at the ZNPP site and the adjacent territory did not change and was within the normal range.
It will be remembered that on the night of October 8, the aforementioned high voltage line was damaged as a result of Russian shelling, which led to a complete blackout of the station.
