The President of Ukraine called the best option for the invaders after the explosion on the Crimean bridge – it’s flight.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, after the explosion on the Crimean bridge, called the quick escape of the invaders from the occupied territories of Ukraine the best option for them. He announced this in his evening address.
“Today, on the territory of our state, it is not a bad and almost sunny day. In a large area, about 20 degrees of heat and sun, unfortunately in Crimea it is cloudy, although it is also warm . But regardless of the clouds , Ukrainians know what to do and they know that our future is sunny. It is a future where there will be no occupiers of our entire territory, including Crimea. If the occupiers flee while they have the chance them, this will be the best option for them,” the president said.
Zelensky added that if the occupiers are forced to stay in the occupied territory, then any occupier can surrender.
“We guarantee all Russian military personnel, who have voluntarily laid down their arms and surrendered, the preservation of their lives. Ukraine always complies with all international norms and conventions,” added the president.
Zelensky also said that they will not leave any other option for the occupiers to rely on them.
The President also said that the movement of the Ukrainian military continued in the south and east of the country. At the same time, our defenders were holding a line near Bakhmut.
“The movement of our military, the SBU, the National Guard and all those engaged in actions in the east and south of our state continued,” Zelensky said.
“Today, I want to once again praise our soldiers from the 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar for their courage, for their steadfastness in this particular direction. Thank you to all our anti-aircraft gunners and everyone involved in the air defense of Ukraine,” added the president.
It will be remembered that this morning, October 8, a huge fire broke out on the Crimean bridge. The Russian Federation said the ignition of seven fuel tanks of a train allegedly caused a truck to explode.
