The Gauleiter of Sevastopol announced that passenger train traffic across the Crimean Bridge was suspended.
As a result of the explosion and fire on the Crimean bridge, two crossing spans were destroyed, and 1.3 kilometers of railway was damaged. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel.
“Initially, firefighters tried to put out the fire from the stairs, but due to strong winds and pouring fuel, it was difficult to fight the fire,” the report said.
According to the Gauleiter of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, passenger train traffic across the Crimean Bridge was temporarily suspended.
Trains bound for occupied Crimea were redirected to Anapa, RBC wrote.
“In total, on October 8, 11 trains were involved in communication with Crimea – five in the direction of Crimea, six – in the direction from Crimea,” the newspaper noted.
It will be recalled that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced that due to the damage to the Crimean bridge, the supply of food, fuel, and weapons to the Crimea and Kherson regions is extremely complicated for the Russian Federation.
In connection with the state of emergency, the “authorities” of Crimea announced the organization of a land corridor through the occupied territories of Ukraine.
