Zelensky clarified the President’s statement about a “preemptive strike” on the Russian Federation

Presidential press secretary Sergei Nikiforov commented on President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement about NATO’s use of a preemptive strike against the Russian Federation.

“The President spoke about the period until February 24. Then it is necessary to take preventive measures in order not to allow Russia to unleash a war. I remind you that the only measures that were discussed at that time were preventive sanctions. To blackmail the world with explosions at ZNPP and in every possible way to indicate the use of nuclear weapons. Only the terrorist state Russia allows itself. You will never such calls can be heard from Ukraine,” said Nikiforov.

Remember, Volodymyr Zelensky said that NATO and the entire international community should provide preventive strikes in case the Russian Federation tries to use nuclear weapons.

The Russian Federation reacted to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s words about a “preemptive strike” on Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called it “a call to start a world war.”
